Sticks'n'Sushi

Our restaurant in Lyngby is large and bright. You will be greeted by the sight of long tables and golden lighting that invites you to take a well-deserved break from shopping and enjoy a Japanese beer and your choice of yakitori sticks. There is even the option to sit by the window, so you can sip your sake and watch people living their lives on the street outside.

Beneath the light of the lamps

Almost two centuries after Magasin acquired their now-legendary building on Kongens Nytorv, a sister company was opened in Kongens Lyngby—and about half a century later, Sticks’n’Sushi moved in, too.

The main street cuts across Mølleåen and is nestled between two water mills. When Magasin opened their sister company outside Copenhagen, the street quickly became associated with the king’s residence in northern Zealand—the beautiful Sorgenfri Castle. The horse-drawn carriages have since been replaced with the sound of heels clacking against the worn cobble street.

Our restaurant has its own entrance and opening hours and gives Magasin shoppers a much-needed chance to have a meal and relax for a bit before they jump into the next stage of their shopping.

The menu comprises our balanced mix of sushi, grilled delicacies, and cold and hot dishes. Choose from our selection of sweet drinks, Japanese beers, and sake. Should you be more inclined to enjoy a carbonated beverage with your raw fish, that can easily be arranged, too. If you feel like treating yourself to a more unique dish, feel free to ask for our specials.

Larger group of guests

If you are twelve or more guests in your party, we kindly ask you to order your food in advance, as this will give our chef time to make sure that your food is absolutely perfect. Should there be guests in your party who would rather not eat raw fish, or who prefer plant-based diets. We welcome all requests for vegetarian meals.
