On Strandvejen in Hellerup, you’ll find Sticks’n’Sushi – a sushi restaurant north of Copenhagen, set across two historic pavilions. Since 1999, we’ve been serving sushi and grilled sticks in what was once a petrol station and a flower pavilion. Today, the setting blends Japanese craftsmanship with Danish "hygge", complete with a sunny terrace nestled between the two pavilions – just a few steps from Øresund.

If you are ten or more guests in your party, we kindly ask you to order your food in advance, as this will give our chef time to make sure that your food is absolutely perfect. Should there be guests in your party who would rather not eat raw fish, or who prefer plant-based diets. We welcome all requests for vegetarian meals.
Sushi across two pavilions
Our restaurant in Hellerup began in what was once an Esso petrol station. Beneath the hexagonal roof, you’ll now find our takeaway restaurant, where you can collect your favourites to enjoy at home. Later, we took over the old flower pavilion on the other side of the terrace. Here, you’ll find the open kitchen with counter seating wrapped around it – close to the chefs as sushi is rolled and sticks are grilled. Between the two pavilions lies the terrace. In summer, it’s green and sheltered – and dogs are welcome guests.
Do you offer takeaway in Hellerup?
Takeaway can be ordered and collected from Pavilion South on Strandvejen. Everything is prepared to order, so you’ll enjoy the same quality at home as you would in the restaurant. Order online and choose delivery or pick up.
Can we bring our dog?
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the terrace between the two pavilions. Indoors, we kindly reserve the space for our two-legged guests.
How do you book for larger groups?
If you’re a party of 10 or more, we ask that you pre-order your menu. This allows our chefs to plan the service and ensure everyone enjoys the full experience. We also offer tailored catering for both small and large events. Contact us here.
