TWILIGHT COSINESS AND PERFECT IMPERFECTION
Experience the rich culture the city has to offer when you visit our Japanese restaurant in Oxford. Oxford is home to the second-oldest university in the world. On top of that, the city is recognized as the setting for the legendary tales of one of the most iconic British students of all time, Harry Potter. Matthew Arnold once called Oxford a sweet city with her dreaming spires, referring to the architecture of the university. Oxford is an architectural paradise—now complete with its very own Sticks’n’Sushi restaurant.
Our restaurant offers a harmonic blend of Danish twilight cosiness, thanks to its dark leather, blue walls, and curtains to separate the diners, and the Japanese trend wabi sabi, characterised by simplicity and humility. This is the art of finding perfection in the imperfect.
Our large rooftop terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail, a colourful salad, delicious sushi—or to just take in the aromas of our freshly grilled yakitori sticks with the dreaming spires of Oxford as a romantic backdrop. In the distance, you can see the beautiful 1546 Tom Tower clock tower and when the sun has set on the old university town, we recommend a cup of matcha tea or one of our specialty sakes.
