Visit our Restaurants in Berlin
A visit to Sticks’n’Sushi is meant to be a sensory experience – which is why careful thought has gone into every detail: the design, the atmosphere, and of course, the food. Area Head Chef Song Lee, together with his team of skilled Head Chefs, ensures that every piece of fish is cut to perfection. With a background from Grand Hyatt Berlin, Mesa & Tizian, Lee was also part of the team when Sticks’n’Sushi first opened in Berlin in 2017.
Lee says:
“Sticks’n’Sushi represents high-level Japanese craftsmanship combined with Nordic flavour profiles, high-quality ingredients and a creative loyalty to Japanese cuisine.”
From the open kitchens, he and his international team serve Japanese and Scandinavian yakitori sticks – small cold or grilled delicacies – alongside a wide selection of sushi.
Architecture & Atmosphere
All three of our Berlin restaurants were designed by Danish architect Terese Erngaard and Miriam Kotte from Diener & Diener, an architecture firm based in Basel and Berlin.
Our first Berlin location opened on Potsdamer Straße, inside the former Tagesspiegel building. Erngaard explains:
“We wanted to highlight the room’s almost sacred atmosphere and make it welcoming – with handcrafted chandeliers, a sculptural spiral staircase, and a flowing, spiral-shaped curtain that adds warmth to the large space.”
Our restaurant on Kantstraße, in the heart of Charlottenburg, is located near the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and Bikini Berlin. The design embraces a classic and local expression, while staying true to our signature fusion of Japanese minimalism and Danish design.
Our latest restaurant on Torstraße, in vibrant Berlin-Mitte, is surrounded by urban energy as well as residential life. The architects found inspiration in the way Japanese homes and neighbourhoods are often built – with varying ceiling heights and roof structures. This, combined with Danish design and unique lamps by German-born designer Christian Haas, creates a warm and international expression.
