Private Dining

Toku

Toku is part of our Borgergade restaurant. Host a meeting, dinner, or both. The door to the restaurant cannot be closed, but with a steady flow of delights from the kitchen and cocktail bar, it would almost be an inconvenience anyway.

Sticks'n'Sushi Borgergade

The restaurant on Borgergade offers a dining experience fit for a Baroque painting. This historical part of the city classically frames your meal and provides an excellent view of the old street. Those who would rather sit at the bar will be delighted to discover that the lamps hang above your head like small suns so you can enjoy a chilled sake or a nice cup of coffee in a great atmosphere.

On the wings of history

Copenhagen’s Borgergade is home to the city’s workshop and industry-house. Its façade is equipped with a large marquee and the neon of Sticks’n’Sushi.

The small timbered houses in this historic part of the capital region were once inhabited by craftsmen, but when the rundown neighbourhood was revitalised after the Second World War, the buildings were equipped with squared windows and plain concrete.

Our restaurant on the so-called Citizen’s Street opened its doors in 2015. If you close your eyes, you can hear the whoosh of history across the concrete—and this is why the architect, Terese Erngard, chose to draw inspiration for the interior design from the Baroque period.

Diego Velázquez’s famous painting, Las Meninas, from 1656 depicts King Filip IV and his family. The picture is a complex one, as the king and his family are dressed in large robes that are reflected in a series of mirrors. It almost feels as though they are standing outside the painting, close to the beholder. The same thing can be said about our restaurant.

The soft, plum-coloured walls are decorated with mirrors and openings that allow you to keep all four rooms of the restaurant in sight. These architectural details also foster a sense of connection between the rooms and the guests, as though the latter were characters in Velázquez’s painting.

The neon letters on the outside of the building—and the swimming fish under the sharp knife of the sushi chef—were designed by Astrid Krogh Design. As per usual, there is more than just fish on the menu. We also offer grilled vegetables, meat on sticks, and sweet desserts. Regardless of whether you prefer raw or grilled, we have an option for you. We even offer colourful salads, rice paper rolls, and a great selection of Japanese beers.

Group dinners

If you are ten or more guests in your party, we kindly ask you to order your food in advance, as this will give our chef time to make sure that your food is absolutely perfect. Should there be guests in your party who would rather not eat raw fish, or who prefer plant-based diets. We welcome all requests for vegetarian meals.
